The Apeks WTX Backplate is available in either stainless steel or aluminium depending on how much weight a diver is looking to carry.

Apeks WTX Black Plate, a well thought out backplate design available in either stainless steel or aluminium. The Apeks Stainless Steel Back Plate is made from 304 stainless steel which provides exceptional resistance to corrosion. The Apeks Alumimium Backplate is made from 6061 grade aluminium with an anodized finish which is lightweight yet hardwearing. The edges of holes and slots are finished to a high standard to ensure little damaged is caused to suits, wings and other equipment. Two pairs of slots allow a single tank to be used without the need for a STA as the cambands can be slotted straight through the wing and backplate. The Apeks Back Plate can be used with on many setups thanks to three holes at different heights at the plate as well as a long slot at the bottom.
