The past few days have been a whirlwind of chaos, both good and bad. The best news? Is that hopefully by the end of the week I’ll be signing papers to bring this baby home:
Granted, the van will only be here for about 2 weeks before it’s shipped out to have the floor lowered and the ramp system put in. That process will take about 6-to-8 weeks, and then I’ll be set up with more “training” to make sure that all of the controls are working properly and whatnot.
I was not expecting to be able to afford a brand new vehicle, let alone one that arrived from the factory yesterday morning. The van has literally 2 miles on the odometer. 2. little. miles. I don’t know how I got this lucky, but I’m grateful. On the other hand, the fact that I didn’t care what color it was and wanted the least amount of extras as possible probably helped.
Now I just have to play a little bit of phone tag to make sure all of the vehicle ‘specs are acceptable for the organization’s requirements for modifications.
And then, my friends? It’s time for road trips and 3am adventures to Wal-Mart. Oh. And actually finding a job.

OMG! I am so happy for you! Your new ride looks awesome!
Soon enough, you’ll be able to drive around and visit places/ friends and get around on your own! I’m grinning here like a crazy person cause I think it’s so cool. I stopped driving after getting into a fender bender but I will again someday. Funny thing is, I’m more comfortable in a motorcycle than I am driving a car because a car feels so big for me to handle lol.
Best wishes and I hope you find your dream job in no time. You rock!
