An August of Firsts

August is usually an exciting month for me, because of our wedding anniversary. This year, that excitement is insanely amplified.

In two weeks, I’ll be in New York City for the first time for Blogher.  (Okay, it’s technically the second. I went on a bus trip in college to see a play, but I didn’t exactly “see” any of the city.) And when I get back, Ben and I will be moving forward for our first round of fertility treatments.

It’s a month of firsts, for sure.

The serendipity of all of this happening at the same time just makes the whole experience even sweeter. One of the reasons I’m able to experience all these firsts is in thanks to my Blogher sponsor, ttccommunity.com, which is a website near and dear to my heart. Not only is the site a fantastic resource for women struggling to conceive, it’s an amazing community for all other areas of fertility, pregnancy, and parenthood too.

Plus, in the next week or so,  I’ll have the pleasure of announcing a new contest from ttccommunity.com and a chance to win up to $3,200 a year! It’s super awesome, so be sure to stay tuned!

One of the other firsts for me that’s happening that week is the opportunity to meet in person with other women in their fertility journeys, whether they’re TTC for the first time, pregnant, or overcoming infertility. My roomie, Jayme, and I have been hard at work to make sure this fertility meet-and-greet is a lot of fun, and we’re stoked to be able to introduce our friends to a few great fertility products as well!
